Pancreatitis. A lot of people get pancreatitis. You're in a restaurant, you eat a whole bunch of pork, you go home that night, you're throwing up at two in the morning, you got diarrhea, you're really sick, you start getting a fever, and all of a sudden, it's time to go to the emergency room.
You go to the emergency room.
They got to take a good look at you, right?
You get the CAT scan.
You get the MRI.
You get all the different tests.
They do the barium swallow.
They do blood work.
And then, sir, ma'am, we think you have pancreatitis.
It happens every day.
One of the bigger things that happen every single day in the ER, in the emergency room, is pancreatitis, right?
But that's pancreatitis.
I'm talking about the pancreas now in a different way.
It's your credit card. You can burn that baby out real quick in life. You can tire your pancreas
out. Pancreas does a couple of things. Everybody knows creates insulin, right? Creates insulin.
That's its role, but its role is also digestive enzymes. Now it's not the most critical role,
the digestive enzyme part, but still it's a digestive aid in a way, right? That's digestive
power, you can live without the digestive enzyme part of the pancreas to a degree, skate
by.
You still have your gastric juices.
You still have your HCL.
But a lot of people, they burn their pancreas out over time, even if it's still producing
insulin.
They tire it out.
And then that juice, that pancreatic juice gets weak and weak and weak.
and we don't feel good when we eat.
That's something that happens all the time.
Now, before that happens, your liver takes a beating
and that starts to get beaten down.
The reason why medical medium information is always about liver, liver, liver,
because if you don't take care of your liver, your pancreas can die early.
That's why.
If you don't take care of your liver and take care of it right,
you will kill your pancreas over time.
Pancreas sits right behind your stomach, right?
That's your pancreas right there.
Now, in this model here, it just has it going directly across, but it really angles up a little bit, okay?
So our pancreas is a precious commodity.
It's a precious jewel.
You have to see it like a precious jewel sitting at the bottom of the ocean, right?
You have to see it as a diamond.
You have to see it as pure gold because it's critical to keep it healthy.
So one of the ways we destroy our pancreas is high fat, high fat.
But yet you hear all the time, keto, high fat, fats are healthy, lots of fat, you need good fat.
Everybody needs fat in their diet, right?
But what no one realizes when everybody's saying that and all those articles come out and all the doctors and functional medicine doctors are saying it and everybody's saying it,
what you don't realize is they're basically saying, we don't understand you, your body, your pancreas,
and we're going to give you misinformation that slowly kills your pancreas or quickly kills your pancreas because we're going to fat your pancreas to death.
We're already fatting your liver to death.
We're already killing that.
But we're going to go to another level and we're going to just trendy in a trendy way.
We're just going to fat your pancreas to death.
And that's what happens to people.
And it leads to pancreatitis.
So many people have mild attacks of pancreatitis that are undiagnosed.
And they think they just had food poisoning.
I don't know.
It's just something I ate, I think.
My stomach feels a little funny.
Maybe it's that meal I had last night in the restaurant.
Maybe it's a meal I had at home.
Honey, what did you put in that food there?
Did you get it from someplace?
You know, wherever it is, you just think that what happened is maybe it's something you ate.
But in truth, it is kind of something you ate.
It's the fat got to you that night and you don't know it.
So you have a mild bout of pancreatitis.
I'm kind of sick today.
I don't really want to eat much.
I'm eating light.
Kind of was feeling sick.
Don't know if I got a tummy bug.
people every day walk around with their pancreas on the edge, hanging by the cliff.
And then at nighttime, it starts to restore and regenerate a little bit and starts to bounce back.
And then during the day, they pound down that fat and they start killing it again.
So it's this constant battle that's being waged, right?
It's this battle. It's like this constant tipping point with your pancreas.
People go like that for 20 years, 30 years, and eventually they get a diagnosis of pancreatitis,
maybe once or twice in their life, but more so than that, they weaken it.
And when they weaken it, we lose vitality.
We lose what we use for energy too, because your pancreas is an energy source.
And a lot of people, they walk around tired.
They're downing the caffeine, and then they're eating their fat meals at night, right?
And they're trying to find energy.
They're drinking their energy drink. They're drinking their matcha tea, their green tea.
They're drinking their coffee, their espressos, right? So they're looking for all this energy,
but what they don't realize is their pancreas has been taken a hit and it's weakening over time.
The way we protect our pancreas on a daily level is we watch how much fat we eat and we're
cautious about it to a degree. You can have some avocado, you can have some nuts or seeds,
that's what you like to eat. You can do a little olive oil, right? You can have some hemp seeds,
you can have some pumpkin seeds, but be careful that you don't overdo it. You shouldn't be putting
nut butters in your smoothies in the morning and coconut oil. You want to fast track to pancreatitis,
do a couple of tablespoons of coconut oil, coconut butter in your smoothie every day,
and you will bring your pancreas to its knees,
take it to that edge of the cliff,
and won't even know it,
and you think you're doing this healthy fat,
and you're throwing that coconut oil in there.
Same thing with nut butters.
Let me put two, three tablespoons of peanut butter
on my oatmeal,
and you're actually risking your pancreas's life.
You're bringing it to that place
where it loses vitality
before your time is due in your life.
So when you're 70 years old,
your pancreas starts to die.
Hey, wait a minute.
Wait a minute.
I'm not ready to go.
I'm not ready to leave.
I'm only 70 years old.
Sorry, you killed your pancreas.
It's that credit card we can burn out and burn out
until you have to cut it up.
And then you owe the bank and you just cut the card up
and just toss it away, right?
That's your pancreas.
You gotta be really careful.
Same thing if you eat too much chicken, right?
When you eat chicken, you don't wanna eat the chicken skin
because the chicken skin is so fatty.
When you eat a piece of chicken,
you gotta look out for all those yellow pieces of fat all in between the meat of that chicken,
right? All of that beats down our pancreas. Same thing with pork. Any kind of pork bacon,
it beats down our pancreas. Beef beats down our pancreas. If you like animal protein,
I'm not saying you can't have any animal protein. Medical medium information supports animal
protein eaters, supports vegans and plant-based people. I've seen vegans and plant-based people
and vegetarians kill their pancreas by eating too much fat, plant-based fat.
I've seen animal protein people kill their pancreas eating too much animal meat and different things like that.
So there's a balance, a real balance.
It's let's keep the fat down a little bit.
Let's try to save our pancreas for the long road so it can play a role in breaking down some of our food.
Because those digestive enzymes, that pancreatic juice, does help us digest.
And we need that.
Even though it's not everything, we still need it.
but we need the insulin too.
We need it strong.
Even if your pancreas is strong
and it produces insulin and produces digestive enzymes,
when it weakens, it's an entirely different story.
It struggles to produce insulin
and struggles to produce digestive enzymes,
and that's where we don't want to go.
We want it being strong. We don't want it being weak and having to perform.
We want it strong and performing.
And I think that people don't realize that their pancreas is on borrowed time.
And it's struggling to produce.
And we want to get it nice and strong and then take care of it.
So even if it's strong, like I was saying a minute ago, you want to take care of it so it never weakens.
Thank you for watching.
this concludes our exclusive newsletter video about the pancreas. I'll see you guys next time.
